“Cool” is one of those words that gets thrown around a lot. But if you’ve met Jessie Moog, you know that she truly embodies the term. Between her deadpan sense of humor, passion for live music and propensity for finding Frye boots on sale, Jessie oozes cool. She’s also a whiz when it comes to content creation, as evidenced by the cogent bylines she creates for clients, the smart questions she asks and her knack for editing colleagues’ blog posts. Every edit Jessie suggests and every question she asks makes our work better and more strategic.
Jessie works remotely in Nashville (see? Cool, right?), but got her start with us in Boston back in 2013. Read on to learn more about her journey with Metis.
What's one thing you love about Metis? I love working with a small team. I invest, learn and push myself more than I would in a different environment.
What were you up to before you came to Metis? I was a marketing copywriter at a data center company.
Tell us about the best concert you've ever been to. There are too many to count and the majority were great, but some shows from my high school days actually top the list. I grew up in New Jersey, and gained a lot of independence taking the train to New York with my friends to see music.
What’s your favorite Metis benefit? In 2016, my vacation and holiday time has fueled trips to Canada, Spain, Portugal, England, Seattle, New York and Savannah, Georgia. Having a job that makes travel possible - and being part of a team that supports it - is the most important benefit for me.
Best book you've read this year: "Station Eleven" by Emily St. John Mandel. Or "Girl in a Band" by Kim Gordon.
What's one thing you've learned since starting at Metis? Speak up.
