We’re big fans of the local startup community. You’re reading this blog, so you hopefully know that we actually dedicate this weekly post just to highlighting what the startups in the area are up to. But there’s one event every year that takes startup highlighting to a whole new level: Boston Tech Jam.
It was this past week, and it was excellent. For those that haven’t had the good fortune to attend, allow me to paint you a picture. Booth after booth of companies large and small, highly knowledgeable reps that will chat with you about their tech as long as you’re interested, and demos and free trials galore. Oh, and swag. Boston has plenty of fantastic events that bring together the innovation and entrepreneurial communities, but Tech Jam really does have a special place in my heart. And not just because I won a free pair of Bose headphones the first year I went. It’s an opportunity to let the networking flow in a truly hard-to-come-by natural way. You can reconnect with contacts old and new, laugh about how absurd you look in virtual reality gear, and the business that gets done in the process is the free branded cherry on top.
Virtual reality games never get old.
We do love some good props.
Free drink tickets are always a perk.
The face is unrelated; Metis really does love PaintNite.
