We started 2019 off with a bang (as you should aim for every New Year), learning Metis was named to the Chief Marketer 200 for the third(!) year in a row.
We believe in the work we produce for our clients and seeing their success is what drives us every day. If we’re being honest, though, being recognized by one of the leading marketing publications certainly doesn’t hurt, and it gave us a bit of an ego boost. We’re honored to be included and we are certainly in amazing company among the other top shops on the list.
The CM200 features editorial listings and coverage of agencies spanning 11 categories. It is the only editorial list of best-in-class non-advertising agencies. This award serves as recognition that our approach to integrated communications is delivering bottom-line results and measurable ROI for clients and helping them to build influence, capture targeted leads and generate sales.
In 2018, we expanded into emerging areas with clients who are on the forefront of their industries such as healthcare, smart manufacturing and connected cities. The team deepened its experience within emerging technologies like edge computing, Internet of Things, advanced medical devices, data science and education tech.
We grew and strengthened our relationships with our existing clients. We say it so often, but chemistry matters and there’s nothing like the work you do when you’ve established a trusted, collaborative working relationship. Our team got to work with talented first-time CEOs and serial entrepreneurs, as well as new companies throughout the year, including CloudShare, Current, Feature Labs, Ivenix, Open edX, Plutoshift and VOGSY. As a testament to our belief in remote work and connecting across borders, these client teams span the world from Boston to Palo Alto to Tel Aviv to Edinburgh to Amsterdam.
We also continued to grow and strengthen the B2B marketing services we offer to clients in addition to our PR and communications work, better helping our clients to reach their marketing and business goals.
Finally, we have added three new senior team members: JaeMi Pennington, account director; Jeff Miller, vice president of accounts; and Marty Querzoli, vice president of content strategy. We continued to build out our network of marketing and analytics consultants, content writers and PR professionals to support our pace of growth, as well as specialize in targeted industries and focus areas.
Here’s to yet another great year. If you need marketing and PR support, you know who to call.
