Few things remind me to recognize my own gratitude like the coming New Year. December can be an overwhelming time for businesses and retailers, and though I’m always impressed by the pros who make it seem effortless, I welcome the winter holiday season for the chance it creates to step back, sign off and appreciate what really matters. This feeling of gratitude is one reason many people get involved with their communities and give back during this season – philanthropists and nonprofits give and receive more donations between October and December each year, and recent years have seen Giving Tuesday help drive those statistics to a viral status.
The Metis team supports its community throughout the year by working hands-on with service projects in the Boston area and contributing company-matched donations to causes and organizations that do incredible work on a national and global scale. If you’re looking to join the holiday spirit of giving, below are some of our team’s favorite organizations to support.
