Today, the Metis team joins hundreds of thousands of activists and individuals of all genders and backgrounds across the country to celebrate NO MORE Day. Created by a coalition of nonprofits, activists and community organizers, NO MORE Day is a full-day event and national movement designed to empower bystanders of domestic violence and sexual assault in every community to break their silence around these issues and get involved. We found out about NO MORE Day through one of our nonprofit clients, the Joyful Heart Foundation. Mariska Hargitay, founder of Joyful Heart and star of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” will be speaking at a sold-out National Press Club luncheon in Washington, D.C. as part of the event.
The Metis team shows its support for NO MORE Day.
If you want to add your voice to this national movement and show your support for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, you don't need to go to Washington like Mariska. All you need is a social media account and some enthusiasm. Here are some ways to participate:

  • Request the NO MORE Toolkit at nomore.org to get the symbol and start using it;
  • Start following NO MORE on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram;
  • Take a picture of how you're using NO MORE in your community, or tell us why you say NO MORE. Share photos on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook using the hashtag #NOMOREday
  • Participate in the #NOMOREday Twitter chat today at 3 p.m. ET;
  • Help make #NOMOREday a trending topic on Twitter by participating in our Thunderclap; and
  • Share this news with five friends!
