Powers & abilities: Melissa turns emerging companies into industry influencers. She tracks social and traditional media opportunities with a marksman's eye and an aim that does not miss. Her weapons are stealth, speed and an invulnerability in the face of challenge. For nearly a decade, Melissa has channeled her knowledge of traditional and social media relations and corporate message development into the successful launching of numerous early-stage companies including Blue Security, BeInSync, Confidela, Embotics, EqualLogic, Ioxus, Inc., Onaro, Optaros, VM6 Software and Virtual Iron Software.

Melissa has developed integrated public relations programs for emerging companies, as well as large public and private corporations. As part of her long record of success serving Metis clients – and in previous positions with Racepoint Group, Bell Pottinger USA (formerly LNS Communications) and COMSOL, Inc. – Melissa has driven PR and marketing programs that support overall corporate goals for increased market awareness, lead generation and revenue growth.

She received her bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism from Northeastern University and was a division-1 soccer player all four years of college.  

Classified information: When not pitching journalists, developing customer programs, a social media strategy or advising clients, Melissa can most likely be found shining her thigh-high boots on her days off or experiencing the most of the Boston restaurant scene, although if she's in covert-mode, you'll never spot her.
