Congratulations are in order to our clients ActionBase, Clarizen and Confidela, all of whom were recently recognized as leading startups or emerging companies by TechCrunch and TWS2009.  On Friday, Clarizen and ActionBase were listed on the TechCrunch Europe Top 100 listing, which is a constantly updated index of the most innovative European tech companies.  This list is based on information from thousands of online sources including internet traffic, media, financing, blogs and other key factors.

Confidela was one of 10 companies chosen to present in front of over 700 industry executives at TWS2009, an event that showcases Israeli startups and innovation.  TechCrunch is covering the event here.

More exciting events and activities are on the horizon so stay tuned for more news.

Over the long weekend, our client Clarizen was featured on TechCrunch, showcasing its project management and collaboration tool specifically aimed at non-project managers. If you post a comment on the TechCrunch blog with your contact information, explain in the comments why you need and want Clarizen and how you intend to use it, the Clarizen team will select five winners that will receive free one year subscriptions. In addition, Clarizen will grant one additional free subscription if prospects mention the TechCrunch post to the sales team when making a purchase.

Check it out. We all love free stuff.

It is a great week at Metis and for two of our esteemed technology clients, when not one, but two, “Products of the Year” awards have been bestowed upon us.  It truly brings to light all of the time, effort and dedication that each company has put into product research, development, sales and version upgrades.

FalconStor NSS is a finalist in the Backup and Disaster Recovery category of Storage Magazine’s 2008 Products of the Year Awards, helping others to recognize the company’s strides to change the rules and perception of backup and disaster recovery in the industry.  We look forward to seeing that Gold medal roll in next month.

Embotics, our friendly neighbors up North, have officially won the Bronze medal in the Systems and Performance Management category of SearchServerVirtualization.com’s 2008 Products of the Year.  This is great recognition and further proof of the fast growth and success that the startup has seen in such a hot industry.  Learn more about their victory here: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2009/01/prweb1927554.htm

Bravo!
